Jerry Schlei has been an interactive media developer for more than 30 years, having co-authored research projects with some of the early pioneers of the industry. During his career, he has developed and consulted on interactive media for agencies of federal and local governments, as well as for universities, private businesses and nonprofit groups.
Jerry uses a systematic approach to learning, working in depth with clients and subject matter and then analyzing the effects of his programs on his audience. Programming is continuously fine-tuned via automated feedback from learners. For each project, Jerry works to establish automated learning systems which clients are able to master and then continue programming with only limited consultation from interactive media specialists.
Jerry is a media chameleon, specializing in environmental, historical and medical education. He serves as Communications Co-chair, Webmaster and Database Manager of the IICS Minnesota Chapter.
As International Vice President of IICS, Jerry produced the interactive media panels for NAB 2000 and concentrated on organizational networking internationally. He served as interactive media jury member at Milia d'Or 2000 in Cannes, France and judged for the International Film and Video Festival in Chicago.
